A blow to Hamas: Britain will recognize the political arm as a terrorist organization

The UK Home Secretary has announced the initiative that expressing support for the political arm of the organization that controls the Gaza Strip would be considered a criminal offense.

The British government will declare Hamas a terrorist organization, British Interior Minister Priti Patel has stated.

As part of the initiative, support for Hamas' political arm will be considered a criminal offense with ten years in prison.

The decision will be submitted to the British Parliament for approval next week.

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett welcomed the decision.

"The 'political arm' of Hamas enables its military activity," he said. "These are the same terrorists - only in suits.
