Munich - In view of the exploding numbers of new infections in Bavaria, the black-orange coalition wants to resolve a noticeable tightening of the corona rules on Friday (November 19).
Markus Söder (CSU) had already announced drastic cuts, especially for unvaccinated people in the Free State on Thursday evening following the Prime Minister's Conference - there should be nothing less than a “de facto lockdown for unvaccinated people”.

He did not want to be more specific before consulting the coalition partner.
In an ARD talk, however, Söder had already recommended that all Christmas markets in the Free State be canceled.
The Free State will exhaust all legal possibilities - both according to the previous and the new legal situation, i.e. on the basis of the old and the newly drafted Infection Protection Act, said Söder.
“The principle is clear: tighten, and fundamentally.
Reduce contacts, both at events and in other areas, ”he explained.

According to the new version of the Federal Infection Protection Act, the state parliaments should be able to decide on restrictions in the leisure, cultural or sports sectors.
Exit restrictions, general business or school closings and travel bans should then be excluded.
If countries still order such measures now, they could remain in force until December 15.

Everything that is decided on Friday has to be used deliberately for the next three weeks to reduce the numbers and relieve the health system.

Lockdown measures also for vaccinated people - which would still be possible for a certain transitional period under the old legal situation - Söder believes, however, to be legally complicated, in his own words.
"A complete restriction, for example for vaccinated people, would hardly be imaginable under the current circumstances and would be constitutional."
Söder wants to present all the results of the consultations at a press conference in Munich.
