An atypical campaign for regional and municipal elections in Venezuela ended, conditioned by the lack of gasoline.

After three years, the majority opposition decided to participate in the elections, which will have international observation by the European Union for the first time since 2006. There are more than 3,000 positions at stake, including 23 governors and 335 mayors.

Twenty-one million voters are eligible to vote.
