An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale hit Erzurum province, eastern Turkey today.
The Anatolia News Agency quoted the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority as saying in a statement that the epicenter of the quake was located at a depth of 6.94 km.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or losses due to the earthquake.
