Corona has returned to the homes of the Ebersberg district.
However, only very few cared for people are infected.
Nursing staff are particularly affected.
District
- The first wave of the corona pandemic had also raged badly in the senior facilities in the Ebersberg district and claimed numerous lives.
Then came the vaccination, and right from the start the seniors were protected as a so-called particularly vulnerable group.
Now Corona is back in the homes.
Evelyn Schwaiger, spokeswoman for the district office, confirmed this at the request of the development cooperation.
However, this time it is not the people being cared for that are affected, but the nursing staff.
There are infections in six senior citizens and care facilities.
Schwaiger cannot say whether the infected nurses are vaccinated.
Booster vaccination should be completed by the end of November
The booster vaccination is currently in full swing in the facilities.
“Most of the residents should be boosted by the end of November,” said Schwaiger.
Mobile teams from the Ebersberg vaccination center are on the way, and general practitioners are also vaccinating.
On Friday, November 19, 2021, as of 8 a.m., 74 new infections with SARS-CoV-2 were reported in the Ebersberg district.
A week earlier, 137 new cases of infection had occurred compared to the previous day.
