The cartel of the local associations wants to decide whether the carnival procession will take place in 2022 at the latest by the end of the year - so that the foot groups and wagon builders still have time to prepare.

Gernlinden - But even if the pandemic allows such an event on February 27, 2022, the organizers and the local clubs in general will have to struggle with many other problems.

A few weeks ago, Hannes Haschka was looking forward to planning the carnival procession - despite the prospect of having to order more police and security. But now the fourth wave of the corona pandemic has landed with all its might. Therefore, at the annual meeting of the local associations, Haschka asked who could even imagine participating in the Gaudiwurm. The response was positive. For Haschka, the carnival procession would be a sign "that there are some freedoms". A final decision must be made by the turn of the year at the latest. If the situation worsens, however, there is no avoiding a rejection, emphasized the chairman of the carnival committee: "I cannot organize 2G for the train."

Haschka is also chairman of the fire brigade association and had bad news in this role: The fire brigade's rooms, which could previously be used for meetings, are tight again.

“Order from above.” Fire brigades are systemically relevant, so contacts must be minimized.

TSV Gernlinden no longer has a host in its club restaurant for the New Year, but could make the rooms available.

Meetings would also be possible in the Catholic parish hall in Gernlinden and in the senior citizen's room near the Schützenheim.

All local associations have to do without the hall in the civic center for a longer period of time.

Events are only possible with individual approval and a limited number of people.

"There will be no normal operation until at least September 2022," said Maisach's mayor, Hans Seidl.

The house and the restaurant are under construction.

This hits the home stage particularly hard.

There has been no performance and no income for a year and a half.

“What is the perspective of the home stage?” Asked its representative Matthias Meister.

Seidl said there was no other hall of this size.

One can think about the possibilities of smaller spaces.

The event planning of the local clubs is largely on hold.

What the re-elected local cartel chairman Christian Kemether said applies: "Everything under reserve."

Gaby Rappenglitz and Karlheinz Wenhart were elected as its representatives, Christine Andermann and Brigitte Klose are in charge of the till, while Peter Aust and David Gilbert write minutes.

Erich Zotz (chairman of the playground committee), Haschka (chairman of the carnival committee) and Normann Wenke (administrative tasks) take on other offices.

Werner Feiler, Elisabeth Schacherl, Michael Kusebauch, Michael Wenhart and Gabi Plutka were appointed as assessors.

The auditors are Lydia Oehlenschläger and Max Hoffmann.

Jakob Sailer retired after 25 years in various board positions.

But he promised to continue to support the cartel.
