This is emphasized by the disaster control management group in the Freising district, which has sent a dramatic situation report - with a fiery appeal:

This was shown by the case a few days ago when the fire brigade had to bring a corona patient with blue light from the Freising district to South Tyrol because there was no longer any intensive care bed in the entire region.

The district is preparing for even worse disaster scenarios.

"We have to act boldly," says District Administrator Helmut Petz with a current incidence value of almost 500 in the district.

Once again, the disaster control management group and their specialist advisors from medicine, rescue services, police, the armed forces, fire services, care, schools and the THW are on duty in order to protect the population as well as possible.

How can supportive disaster management be set up for the hospital? The shortage of staff is an overwhelming problem. There is talk of facilities in which patients are simply put on cards in red, yellow, and green before they are transported on. It's not that far in the district yet. Planning is in full swing as to how sufficient patient care can be organized despite the lack of specialists.

The months of weak vaccination demand are just exploding.

Recommendations for the booster vaccination are constantly changing, now there is a third vaccination for everyone over the age of 18.

The Freising vaccination center will therefore vaccinate again six days a week, and the branch in Au will be reactivated.

Appointments are fully booked for weeks, and there is also the fact that around 30 percent of those vaccinated in the vaccination center flock to Freising from other districts, as vaccination centers elsewhere have already been closed or vaccinate according to priorities.

Contact tracing team hopes for help from the Bundeswehr

The Contact Tracing Team (CTT) is currently lagging behind in tracing contacts with around 1,000 people.

The incidence value shoots through the roof with a multiple of the previous peak values ​​from the previous waves.

The staff of the CTT has so far been adequate to the needs, then suddenly there was also a shortage, the support troops of the Bundeswehr had long since withdrawn.

It takes a correspondingly long time for people who are potentially infected to be informed.

The CTT has now been increased to 40 people through job advertisements and employees of the district office, who have to leave their actual tasks behind.

The police are back on the team, and the Bundeswehr will be back - hopefully.
