Füssen / Musau - Melanie Kerpf and Matthias Nack will continue to operate the Füssener Hütte in the years to come.

Füssen / Musau - Melanie Kerpf and Matthias Nack will continue to operate the Füssener Hütte in the years to come.

The two recently extended their lease, as Thomas Wechner, administrator of the Tyrolean property of the city of Füssen, announced at the meeting of the city council on Tuesday.

This initially runs for three years, but is automatically extended if neither party terminates the contract.

But that's not the only news that Wechner had in his luggage from the Füssener Hütte.

Last year there was damage to the heating and the solar system that had to be repaired.

Therefore, the investment in the hut was slightly higher than usual at 12,334 euros, the manager explained.

But that's not all: The hut should continue to be brought into shape.

For example, 30,000 euros are earmarked for them in the annual budget for 2021.

"The gas system is being renewed," informed Wechner.

Since the lines are no longer up to date, they are replaced, just like the gas tank.

“This means that the water heating system will be reorganized.” If everything goes according to plan, the project should be implemented in the coming spring.

City councilor Niko Schulte (Füssen Land) was particularly pleased.

“It turned out to be a really great hut.

It's great that we've made progress again! ”The many people who are regular guests here would show that this is the right way to go.

As a result of these investments, the profit from the Tyrolean properties will probably be significantly lower in 2021 than in the 2020 budget year.

High taxes

At the time, this was around 37,000 euros; in the annual budget for 2021, only 5300 euros are calculated here. Due to a higher corporate income tax, Wechner is assuming twice as high taxes and levies (8,000 euros) than in the 2020 budget year (around 4,000 euros). At that time, the Tyrolean properties had to spend the most on administration and forest supervision (around 13,000 euros). It achieved the highest income through leasing and secondary uses (around 57,000 euros).

These should be slightly lower in 2021 at around 50,000 euros.

The proceeds from the sale of wood will probably be at the same level, namely 4,000 euros.

Due to the violent storms in the Raintal in 2020, the Tyrolean property has already reached the assessment rate for the coming years, explained Wechner.

Therefore, no felling is planned - except in the case of bark beetle infestation or storm damage.

The hunt is getting bigger

Wechner also informed that the city of Füssen's own hunt had increased by around 33,000 square meters this year. Since this almost completely encloses an area of the Vils forest interest group, it was incorporated into the private hunting of the city of Füssen. “That doesn't mean it's ours. It belongs to the Vils forest interest group ”, says the manager. But: “It is an important story in terms of hunting law. The hunter is now officially allowed to hunt this part as well. "

The plans to develop the Raintal with sewage and power lines (the Kreisbote reported several times) are one step further.

This year there should be preliminary talks as to whether the plans can be submitted to the Tyrolean provincial government for a preliminary examination.

So far, the wastewater from the huts in the Raintal has been treated in a small wastewater treatment plant and discharged into the Saberbach.

They get their electricity from diesel generators.

In the future, the smelters could get their energy from hydropower plants via the new lines, which is significantly better for the environment.

“That would be a win-win situation for everyone,” says the manager.

However, the project is still in its infancy.
