tackle concrete. It probably took a flood in 2018 to allow the realization to mature that things cannot go on like this. Now the matter can be tackled, and Mayor

Michael Krumbucher

used the latest meeting of the municipal council to bring the largely newly composed body up to date.

It is about a backwater volume of another 8,000 cubic meters through a dam in front of the town center of Tegernbach. Another 500 cubic meters can be realized right next to the county road. According to the engineering office's calculation, this would cut a flood wave by ten percent, which is enough to prevent Nandlstädter Straße from being flooded. The cost calculation from 2018 is of course long out of date and has to be redone. That must be because of the funding that can be accessed here. In any case, the water management office has extended the water rights notices for this project so that no problems are to be expected from here.

So Rudelzhausen is facing a large and important construction site. What fell through, however, was the demand from the population to widen the two passages on the Bergstrasse and the Ringstrasse. The experts came up with two pieces of evidence: Firstly, the protective effect for the immediate surroundings is so low that the effort would not be worth it. After all, the bridge would have to be built. Secondly, however, these could also prove not to be approved, because the experts could not rule out a risk or at least a deterioration of the areas below. But that is exactly what would be a “knockout criterion”.

The fact that water flows downhill caught up with those involved here too.

Even if there was no vote in the municipal council, it turned out at the end of the lectures that the most effective protection is that which is organized from Tegernbach upstream.

Now it comes to the new cost calculation and the implementation planning.

So then to the grants.

Due to the lack of land availability, the planners were unable to provide any particularly reliable information about the costs in 2018, if only because information about possible soil replacement in the area of the planned 80-meter-long dam structure is missing.

Also interesting: This is a task close to her heart: the Rietzscher family from Au nurses Igel back to health.
