For the first time since the beginning of the corona pandemic, more than 1000 new infections were detected in one day in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
The State Office for Health and Social Affairs (Lagus) reported 1004 new infections on Friday.
The seven-day incidence rose further to 264. A week ago it was 188.9.
Rostock - The hospitalization incidence that will be particularly important nationwide in the future was given as 5.5.
It shows how many people per 100,000 inhabitants came to the hospital with Covid-19 within seven days.
The day before the value was 6.5, a week ago it was 4.5.
Regionally, it was highest on Friday in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district with 9.4, followed by Western Pomerania-Rügen (8.0) and Mecklenburg Lake District (7.8).
