Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias stressed that the Turkish regime represents the "common denominator" of threats to the stability of the region, denouncing its continued use of migrants as a blackmail card.
The Associated Press quoted Dendias as saying today during a meeting in Athens with his counterparts from Egypt, Cyprus and France that the Turkish regime is using migrants as a "geopolitical pressure card," adding: "Unfortunately, the common denominator in many of the challenges we face in this region is our neighbor Turkey."
It is noteworthy that the attempts of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to exploit the migrant file and blackmail Europe to achieve new political and financial gains are widely condemned in the old continent, and his policy of illegal exploration for energy resources in the eastern Mediterranean arouses widespread condemnation, especially from Cyprus and Greece.
