The government advisory expert committee earlier approved Kexing vaccination age to be reduced to three years old. The Joint Scientific Committee of the Center for Health Protection met today. One of the committee’s chairmen, Liu Yulong, stated that experts have reviewed the first and second phase data, the third phase temporary data, and the fourth phase after the actual start of the fourth phase. The data is considered to be safe and effective at present.
The latest data show that among children aged 3 to 17, 110 million doses have been vaccinated in the Mainland, about 15 million doses have been vaccinated in Indonesia, and a total of about 130 million to 140 million doses have been vaccinated globally.
Liu Yulong mentioned that the data is huge and massive. "There is no need to worry about safety signals." Children between the ages of 3 and 11 have at least 6 million injections in the world. "If you think 6 million injections are more or less? If you are in Hong Kong, It’s a lot to talk about stalking. If you talk about stalking in a country with a large population in China, you can’t talk about it too much."
He said that he would be the first to start vaccination in the 12 to 17-year-old group. It is possible that children from 3 to 11 years old can be vaccinated in the new semester next year. There are two reasons:
1. All policies must be gradual and orderly. It is the best policy for primary school students and kindergarten parents to know that young children can get injections for the first time. Many parents and families of middle school students are waiting for Kexing.
2. Both domestic and foreign regions are vaccinated for older students first, and then gradually move down the age group. Young children aged 3 to 11 are confident that if there is no safety risk for 6 million doses, but We think that if after the middle school students are beaten, they may have accumulated to 10 million to 20 million to 30 million (dose). If I sit there today and talk to you, you may be more confident."
He believes that middle school students and young children will have a third injection in the future, and that the inoculation rate of the influenza vaccination service of the Department of Health in schools has reached 70%.
Zhang Zhujun, director of the Department of Infectious Diseases of the Center for Health Protection, said that the start date of the Kexing vaccine for middle school students aged 12 to 17 will be announced as soon as possible.
