Damascus Governorate workshops today started the work of laying an asphalt shirt for the road extending from the end of the Ministry of Tourism building to Victoria Intersection, with an area estimated at 6000 square meters.
Director of Supervision in the governorate, Engineer Hisham Al-Hamwi, stated in a statement to SANA delegate that the road will open as soon as the work of laying the asphalt shirt is completed, pointing out that the workshops finished yesterday, extending the asphalt shirt to the road extending from the customs roundabout to the Umayyad Square with an area of 2000 square meters.
The Maintenance Directorate’s workshops, according to Al-Hamwi, carried out over the past two days the work of laying an asphalt shirt for the road connecting from the New Al-Zahira area to the southern highway towards Al-Qazzaz, with an area of 3300 square meters, the road next to the morning bakery in Kafr Sousa, and several roads in a project that destroyed the side of the reconstruction buildings.
