Out of consideration for children and senior citizens, Markt Au has declared the entire “high field” in Au to be “Zone 30”.

The corresponding signage was recently made.

Au / Hallertau

- beware of drivers, otherwise it will hit your wallet.

The reason is the new traffic regulations in Au, which affect the entire southern market area.

To be more precise, the "Hochfeld" - in other words, the area of Hochfeldstraße, starting at the junction of the Heigl gas station to the junction with Pfaffenhofener Straße at the level of the riding arena.

A "Zone 30" was recently designated here.

Because the complaints about the increase in traffic flow in this area had accumulated and there are also various public facilities in the residential area, the market council passed the decision on the general "Tempo 30" zone in the entire area.

To do this, it was necessary to set up three “Tempo 30” signs, namely at the Zarrerweg location, on Hamppstrasse at the former post office building and at the junction with Pfaffenhofener Strasse at the paddock.

By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.

In addition, the entire Obere Hauptstraße was signposted to the "Tempo 30 zone", where until now only a "voluntary" speed reduction has been requested. New signs at the level of the former Krafft / Alveni-Jugendhaus property and on Kooperator-Schmid-Strasse at Pfarrergarten were necessary, which means that the signs at the driveways on Schlesische Strasse opposite the town hall and on Gabelsberger Strasse could now be automatically dismantled . The consequences: In addition to maintaining the speed, the “right-before-left” rule still applies in the area, which should force road users to be extremely careful.

The market council saw the renewed revision of the traffic concept urgently necessary, as the elementary school, the secondary school and the kindergarten “Am Vogelhölzl” as well as the senior citizens' home are also located in this area. In contrast, the previous “Tempo 20” zones and traffic-calmed areas on sensitive streets and paths have been left in place, in order to protect children and elderly citizens in particular.

The Moosburg police gave a positive response to the new traffic order, as Mayor Hans Sailer announced at the official press conference.

In addition to the head of the store, the building yard manager Günter Bauer and deputy Alexander Hornberger were also present, as were Tahnee Mills from the public order office.

The latter announced that compliance with the new rules would be monitored with certainty, whereby the market municipality, as a member of the municipal traffic monitoring system, also had the necessary instruments at its disposal.
