On Thursday, the federal and state governments decided on new measures to combat pandemic at the Corona summit.

The resolutions at a glance:

• Booster vaccination:

  All citizens over 18 years of age will receive a booster vaccination if the second vaccination was between five and six months ago.

• 3G at the workplace:

  The employer should monitor and document this

  daily basis.

• Nursing home:

  All employees and visitors to nursing homes require negative corona tests on a daily basis.

  Vaccinated employees must show a negative test result three times a week.

• Bonus for nurses:

  Nurses should again receive a bonus.

• 3G in local public transport:

  In addition to the mandatory mask requirement, the 3G rule is to be introduced

  in local

  public transport and regional and long-distance trains.

• 2G rule:

  In the future, 2G should apply nationwide for sports, cultural and leisure events as well as in the catering trade and body-friendly services, provided that the hospitalization incidence of 3 in a federal state is exceeded.

• 2G plus:

  If threshold value 6 is exceeded in the incidence of hospitalization, 2G plus applies.

  Then vaccinated and convalescent people also need a negative test.

  From a value of 9, the entire range of instruments of the Infection Protection Act applies - including contact restrictions.

• Higher penalties for violations:

  In addition, the states want to specify the range of

  for violations of corona rules.

  The control density should also be increased.

• "Bridging aid":

  The so-called "bridging aid" will be extended by three more months until March 31, 2022.

New corona rules: The federal and state governments have decided

The Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel (CDU) said the federal government will shortly decide how to respond to this request.

The possible future government coalition made up of the SPD, Greens and FDP is currently still discussing the issue.
