Nicaraguan Foreign Minister Denis Moncada announced this Friday that the country is withdrawing from the Organization of American States (OAS).
"I am writing to you to officially notify you of our unwavering decision to denounce the letter of the Organization of American States (OAS) in accordance with its article 143 that begins its definitive withdrawal and resignation from Nicaragua to this organization," Moncada said in a televised statement when reading the letter addressed to Luis Almagro.
