County - Domestic violence is not a fight on an equal footing.

It is characterized by the intention to dominate the partner and to use violence as a means for this.

Increased health problems can already be identified as a result of lighter forms of domestic violence and reach a considerable extent in so-called abuse relationships.

“Medical professionals are therefore often the first point of contact in the event of domestic and / or sexual violence.

It is important to make our offer even better known in these circles.

Together with doctors and psychotherapists, we can help those affected more efficiently to find their way into the local help system in the event of violence, ”says Cordula Trapp from the women's emergency call center in the Starnberg district.

In cooperation with the Starnberg Medical District Association, information material is sent to general practitioners, gynecologists and psychotherapists in the region.

The campaign is intended to clarify the importance of medical professionals in their key positions in the support system in the event of violence and to provide information about the services offered by the counseling center.

Women who are affected by domestic and / or sexual violence as well as stalking have been receiving help and support from the specialist office in Herrsching for over 30 years.

Children and young people whose mothers are affected by domestic violence as well as private and professional helpers are also supported.

The advice is confidential, free of charge and, if desired, anonymous.

Another campaign will take place on November 25th in cooperation with the Equal Opportunities Office of the Starnberg district and the bakeries and food banks in the region.

From November 20 to 29, 29,000 bags with the slogan “Violence does not come in the bag!

... neither in the family nor in the social environment.

Look at!

Do something! ”.

District Administrator Stefan Frey is the patron of the campaign.
