Brandenburg's Prime Minister Dietmar Woidke (SPD) has indicated a renewed restriction of contacts as a sharper means against the spread of corona.
"Unfortunately, we have to expect that this acute emergency situation will worsen in the next few days and weeks," said Woidke on Friday in Potsdam.
When asked about a possible partial lockdown, he said:
Potsdam - "I'm afraid that we in the state as a whole have to think about how we can implement further measures in all parts of the country, which must above all have one goal: to limit contacts." That is the only means besides vaccination, to effectively contain the spread of the virus.
