They are pictures of the devastation after a night of heavy rioting in Rotterdam.
The mayor of the city called what happened on Saturday night an "orgy of violence."
The protests began as a rally against stricter corona rules by the Dutch government - but the situation escalated quickly: firecrackers flew and Bengali fires were lit, fires were set on sidewalks and streets, police cars were set on fire.
The police, apparently overwhelmed by the situation, used water cannons - but they were unable to get the situation under control.
The emergency services were then forced, according to the police, to fire warning shots.
Several people were injured - at least two, the police said, were injured by warning shots.
There are also said to have been injuries among the police officers.
The night of the riots was documented on social media.
Some film endings cheered the scenes of violence from afar.
Evidently well-known violent hooligan groups also took part in the protests.
The situation in the city center remained precarious for a long time - police units from all over the country were eventually concentrated in the port city to restore order as quickly as possible.
The mayor issued an emergency ordinance that night to forbid people to stay at the site of the riots as well as in the main train station and another station.
The train service to and from Rotterdam was stopped because of the riots.
In the meantime, traffic has resumed.
