Olching - At the hairdressers things are still not going as they were before the pandemic.

"Corona is still ubiquitous," said the head master of the Bruck hairdressing guild, Bettina Zellhuber, last Monday when the guild hairdressers met for the annual meeting in the Olching brewery on Gut Graßlfing.

The hairdressing trade is still one of the most severely affected sectors, Zellhuber described the situation. In the first lockdown, they had to fight their way through pages of hygiene protection measures. There were also disinfectant shortages, and masks and gloves became scarce and expensive. "The worst that could happen to an entrepreneur was to close his business."

The second lockdown let the hairdressers' urgently needed Christmas business break away. "Bridging aid either did not come at all, was too little or came too late," said Zellhuber, criticizing the state support. “And you all did an excellent job as entrepreneurs, otherwise we wouldn't be sitting here now,” she praised the solidarity, which received a lot of public attention with the “Lights on” campaign. With the appeal of the Central Association of the German Hairdressing Trade to leave the light on in the shop for 24 hours, the hairdressing salons drew attention to the dramatic economic situation of the hairdressing businesses.

"That showed us how strong our guild is and that our association work also stands for extraordinary commitment in the crisis," said Zellhuber.

"We have shown how important we are for society." She was pleased that, despite these difficult times, the guild was able to welcome four new members, so that the Bruck guild now has 65 members.

Höfelsauer deals with the corona situation

District master craftsman Franz Höfelsauer could not avoid addressing the current situation in his greeting. The 3Gplus rule still needs a lot of clarification, he said. For example, who pays for the expensive PCR tests for employees? And the hygiene regulations for body-hugging services are very confusing and annoying. Why, for example, does the customer not have to wear masks, but the employees already have to wear masks? Höfelsauer praised the state guild association, which was always on the ball and kept the hairdressers up to date. Höfelsauer called for more controls, which in his opinion are kept too lax and warned not to work privately. “This is illegal work. If you get caught, it will be expensive ”.

Ada Bitschnat-Jaschinski, vocational school teacher and chairwoman of the examination committee, reported on the examination under Corona conditions, whereby the specially appointed Corona officer was a great help for the examiners.

She also provided information about the new additions to the training regulations.

In gratitude for her many years of support, board member Gisela Held paid tribute to Bitschnat-Jaschinski and presented her with an orchid plant.
