Nuremberg - The Free State of Bavaria is increasing air rescue for intensive care patients due to the corona pandemic.

For this purpose, a second intensive-care transport helicopter has been stationed at Nuremberg Airport since Saturday, which can also be used nationwide.

This was announced by DRF Luftrettung on Saturday (November 20th).

Corona: Intensive care transport helicopter is ready at Nuremberg Airport

From 8 a.m. until sundown, the H145 machine should therefore be available primarily for intensive care patients in order to relieve the public-law care system.

The other intensive care transport helicopter in Nuremberg is available around the clock.

The DRF operates more of these machines in Regensburg and Munich.

There are also rescue helicopters in Weiden and Nuremberg.

The automobile club ADAC also maintains helicopters at several locations.
