The fire brigade and daycare facilities in Sauerlach are not equipped with air filters.
The local council agreed on this by a majority.
Sauerlach
- fire brigade and daycare center will probably go away empty-handed for the time being: The Sauerlach town council has decided to "continue to procure air filter systems for elementary school."
The agreement, which was achieved with a narrow majority (10: 8 votes), was preceded by a lively discussion: The new cost estimate (600,000 euros instead of 300,000 euros, plus maintenance and electricity) caused a stir across the political groups.
Although the municipality does not have to bear the cost of the purchase alone, the state subsidy is only granted for schools.
Which is why Robert Lechner (CSU) spoke out in favor of equipping the primary school but against equipping day-care centers and the fire brigade.
Because: "Anyone who has not yet been vaccinated has done something wrong," Lechner said.
Priority to equipping the school
Axel Horn (Greens) also considers equipping the school to be a priority, while Mayor Barbara Bogner (UBV) spoke out against changing the proposed resolution.
“We cannot equip the school and exclude the other public institutions,” she had always emphasized.
Can the manufacturers deliver on time?
Ursula Gresser (FDP) was against it: “The fire brigade should be worth the estimated 29,000 euros!” In general, the purchase is a bill with a few unknowns.
For example: Can / will the device manufacturers deliver on time at all?
It will be some time before the air purification devices are in the classrooms, if only because of the required EU-wide invitation to tender: “It will probably not work before February or March”, fears not only the Green Wolfgang Büsch.
