Thousands of people demonstrated today in the Austrian capital, Vienna, to reject the government's announcement of a general closure in the country with the aim of limiting the spread of the Corona pandemic.
According to the Associated Press, thousands of protesters gathered today in Hilden Platz Square in the capital, chanting slogans against the closure and carrying banners denouncing the government's decisions regarding the general closure and the mandatory imposition of Corona vaccines, starting next February.
Austrian security forces deployed more than 1,300 policemen to control the demonstrations that erupted from separate locations in Vienna.
The general closure will start in Austria next Monday morning and will last for ten days, as most stores will be closed and cultural events canceled, while people will be able to leave their homes only for specific and specific reasons, amid the sharp rise in daily injuries to about 15,000 injuries.
