A fire broke out in a residential building in Haag on Saturday morning.
An 80-year-old woman was killed in the fire.
Haag / Amper
- It was around 8 a.m. on Saturday when the neighbor of a single-family house on Holzbrünnlstrasse in Haag noticed the fire - smoke came out of the cellar shaft.
Since the light was on in the house but no one responded to his ringing and calling, the neighbor immediately alerted the fire department.
A little later, the Haag, Plörnbach, Inkofen, Zolling and Freising Land fire brigades arrived and immediately began to put out the fire in the basement and look for people.
On the first floor of the building, they found the 80-year-old resident lifeless and took her outside.
But for the pensioner, any help came too late: "She died a little later at the scene of the accident," said the Upper Bavaria Police Headquarters.
No other people were in the building at the time the fire broke out.

The police put the property damage at around 100,000 euros.
"The location of the fire has been secured, the house is no longer habitable," says the police report.
The Erding criminal police have started investigations to clarify the cause of death and the cause of the fire.
