Occupied Jerusalem-SANA

Four Palestinian prisoners continue their hunger strike in protest against the continuing Israeli crimes against the prisoners, amid warnings of the seriousness of their health.

The spokesman for the Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Authority, Hassan Abed Rabbo, told the Palestinian Authority Wafa news agency that the prisoner Kayed al-Fosfus has been on strike for 129 days, Hisham Abu Hawash for 96 days, Ayyad al-Harimi for 59 days, and Luay al-Ashqar for 41 days.

Abed Rabbo pointed out that the situation of the phosphorous prisoner is becoming more and more dangerous with the passage of days, and there are warnings of the possibility of him being exposed to a sudden health setback that may lead to paralysis or his rise as a martyr due to the intransigence of the occupation authorities and their refusal to release him.

Abed Rabbo explained that the rest of the prisoners suffer from difficult health conditions, from a decrease in fluid levels in the body, severe headaches and wasting, and various body pains, calling on the international community to assume its responsibilities to stop the violations of the occupation against them and pressure it to release them.

The prisoner, Alaa Al-Araj, ended his open hunger strike the day before yesterday, after it lasted for 103 days.
