French police used tear gas and batons today to quell large-scale protests in the capital, Paris, marking the third anniversary of the founding of the yellow vest movement, resulting in two injuries.
The French channel "BFM" TV reported that the clash between the police and the demonstrators took place near the Place de la Italy in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, and led to the injury of two people.
Thousands of opponents of compulsory vaccination against the Corona virus participated in the protests, along with supporters of the yellow vest movement.
The French authorities had imposed a curfew between six in the evening and five in the morning in the province of Guadeloupe, after widespread and violent protests, including road closures, burning buildings and vehicles, and closing schools, in refusal to impose a health certificate about vaccination against the Corona epidemic.
It is noteworthy that the yellow vest movement was launched in November of 2018 to protest against the economic and social policies of French President Emmanuel Macron, which they say favor the wealthy, but the French authorities confronted them with excessive repression that led to the deaths of many victims and the arrest of thousands.
