Waiting times of 15 minutes and road closures: Anyone who has been driving through wooden churches lately had to be patient.
Holzkirchen - The railway is renewing the technology at its level crossings (we reported). The good news: the track works in Miesbacher and Tegernseer Straße have so far gone according to plan, delays are not to be expected. The level crossing on Miesbacher Straße has also been open again since Thursday. "The civil engineering and marking work as well as the activities on the signaling external systems were completed at both the Tegernseer Straße and Miesbacher Straße level crossings," a railway spokeswoman told our newspaper when asked. Now the - mostly invisible - interior work for the connection in the switch house would still be going on there. Afterwards, both systems are to be checked, accepted and put into operation presumably on Thursday, December 2nd.
Testing of the systems is still pending
It looks similar at the level crossings in Lochham and Thann, says the spokeswoman. However, work is still to be carried out there for an extensive road widening. The civil engineering work at both level crossings has been almost completely completed. “Finally, the road construction work alternated. At the same time, the external signaling systems will be set up, ”said the spokeswoman. The closure of the Thanner level crossing is expected to continue until Friday, November 26th. Finally, the functional test is still pending here as well. The crossings are scheduled to go back into operation in mid-December. Despite the opening of the crossings in Miesbacher and Tegernseer Straße, there may be longer waiting times here for the time being. The security must be carried out by mobile security systems or at short notice by a level crossing post with barrier tape until commissioning, according to the railway.
