Meaux: cocaine drug dealer arrested after four months of careful police investigation

His great discretion and millimeter caution were not enough for him to keep his cocaine trafficking unnoticed in the eyes and ears of the police.

A Meldois living in the Henri-Dunant district has just been arrested by investigators from the Narcotics group of the Departmental Security after months of surveillance and spinning.

The Meaux criminal court sentenced him on Wednesday to twelve months in prison, six of which were closed and the rest under an electronic bracelet.

The seized goods, in particular drugs and some 500 euros in cash were confiscated.

On a committal warrant issued at the hearing, he immediately returned to his cell at the Meaux-Chauconin penitentiary center.

In this case, 42 grams of cocaine were seized.

The investigations of specialists in the repression of drug trafficking began at the end of July when the comings and goings of Meldois were spotted. His phone and car were closely monitored. Known to the police for infringements of the legislation on narcotics, he himself knows "good people". Especially in the Val-d'Oise where he goes regularly to stock up on cocaine. Once the packaging by ten grams is complete, he goes by car to the usual meeting places, fixed by telephone with very regular customers. "They were satisfied with sentences like

 " says a source familiar with the matter.

The advantage that those who know Meaux like their pockets had over the police was that no meeting took place under the eye of one of the 230 municipal video surveillance cameras that crisscross the city.

He never placed himself in the field of vision of the cameras.

With so little details and especially no recorded images to support it, it was not easy for the investigators to find the dealer-delivery man.

However, they will eventually find some traces on social networks.

He admitted a net gain of 4,500 euros in just over a month

After months of work, the trafficker was spotted. He makes home deliveries for his most regular customers. In Meaux and in neighboring municipalities such as Mareuil-lès-Meaux but also in Coulommiers, Pierre-Levée, Tancrou, etc. WHEN he's not delivering, it's his customers who come. His favorite deal point is located: the entrance to the Pâtis municipal park near the entrance to the crèche, avenue de la Marne. The police noticed first-hand that he was putting back pouches of white powder off camera.

But it was a few kilometers away, allée des Platanes, near the artisanal zone bordering the Marne near Trilport, that he was arrested Monday in flagrante delicto of a transaction.

A device had been put in place, the police were awaiting a contact which occurred between the dealer and a regular customer with enough money on him to buy at least one dose.

On the car's gearshift knob, police found a one-gram canister of cocaine.

On board, nine other grams were discovered.

Immediately, a search was carried out at the dealer, on the edge of the Henri-Dunant district. This Monday afternoon, the police are working hard: around forty police officers are taking part in the operation. Including a column (a dozen members) of the departmental intervention company, the local staff of the Departmental Security (about twenty members), narcotic dog handlers and the staff of the municipal police in order to secure the surroundings. In the house where the suspect lived with his family, 32 grams of cocaine not yet packaged in one gram carboy are discovered. The operation is a success, the icing on the cake of the investigators represented by the more than four months of meticulous work spent on this affair!

During his custody, the trafficker admitted 45 transactions in just over a month.

That is a net gain of 4,500 euros.

To drive the point home, the Narcotics group calls on three other regular customers, a Meldois and two Columériens.

Men aged 35-40, active inserted who have recognized several months of purchases, even up to a year, to this supplier.
