As watch tourism takes off, the biggest Swiss Made manufactures are not the only ones to deserve a visit from lovers of fine watches.
In the heart of Geneva, the Patek Philippe Muséum brings together one of the most important and prestigious watch collections, both private and public, in the world.
Inaugurated in November 2001, it brings together no less than 2,500 watches, automatons, precious objects and miniature portraits on enamel retracing five centuries of the history of time, in Switzerland and elsewhere.
Added to this is an almost complete overview of the creations signed by Patek Philippe, one of the most famous watch manufacturers, since 1839.

In addition to locating and purchasing the heritage pieces of his own brand, in particular models with complications, from the 1980s Philippe Stern broadened the scope of his purchases to include all timepieces that have marked watchmaking history since the 16th century, as well as the treasures of enamelling, a great Geneva specialty.
