The Corona situation is precarious in Munich.

But what do you do when you or your relatives are affected?

Apparently things can get chaotic then.

Munich - The Corona * numbers are rising and rising.

On Friday (November 19), the 7-day incidence for Munich * was 754.0.

Another record * - and the chaos is getting bigger!

Because: Munich is sinking into the swamp of bureaucracy, the authorities are constantly jammed.

Many people at risk no longer receive any message from the office, instead the infected should warn their contact persons themselves.

There is also stress with the parents of daycare children, quarantine notices are sent far too late.

The corona chaos - two Munich cases are representative.

Corona in Munich: the health department sends mail with the wrong date

On November 15, Kai Mardeis (52) received a mail from the health department (GSR): His son should be in quarantine until November 6. “That's a joke,” says the man from Munich. An educator at the facility the five-year-old is attending tested positive on October 27. The kindergarten informed the parents immediately. "All the children have had themselves tested," says Mardeis. He went to the pharmacy with his son, the PCR test was negative. The father does not want to imagine how things would have turned out if “parents had somehow not noticed”.

In response to a request from the tz, the GSR announced that in the course of the significantly increased number of cases, "some contacts were delayed".

The staff has already been increased.

A spokeswoman says that the letter will be made available to the parents even if it is actually late - in the event that it is needed to assert claims against the health insurance company, for example.

According to the GSR, “around 1200 cases a week” were reported in Munich's schools and daycare centers.

At the day care centers there are currently 150 cases per week, and the trend is rising.

108 daycare centers (or groups) are currently fully or partially closed (as of November 19).

Corona in Munich: Married couple is turned away at the test center

The Buchharts are also struggling with chaos. Hans (62) and his wife (50) fell ill about a week ago. "I felt weak, my wife was much worse." They turned to their doctor. "He issued us certificates of incapacity for work and referred us to the test center," says the tram driver.

But on the Theresienwiese the nasty surprise: "We were turned away because we had no confirmation from the doctor!" “He says that by being on sick leave he confirmed that we have symptoms.” Buchhart no longer understands the world: “If I have symptoms, the doctor only examines me after a negative PCR test. I only get the PCR test from the doctor with a separate letter! ”According to the GSR,“ symptomatic people ”have to be tested by the family doctor. Such testing is free of charge.

The couple did a PCR test at another testing center.

Result: both positive!

The couple is happy that they hardly met any people.

Nevertheless: “It annoys me that the system is so inflexible.

We were in uncertainty for two days in which we could have infected someone, ”complains Buchhart.
