On Wednesday morning (November 17), a man was hit by a tornado in the municipality of Modica in the south of the Italian Mediterranean island.
The man did not survive this.

The fire brigade announced this on Twitter.
A first reconstruction showed that the man went outside because he feared damage to his house from the storm, reported the news agency Ansa.
But then he was hit by the tornado and killed.
