The United Nations called on the Dominican Republic on Tuesday to suspend actions that violate the human rights of the Haitian population, especially pregnant women.
The request comes after the Dominican migration director confirmed that a group of pregnant and recently delivered Haitian women were detained outside a hospital and deported.
