The well-known YouTuber Mr. Beast has spent millions of dollars creating every challenge that appears in Netflix's "Squid Game" series.

The network star wanted to bring the South Korean hit series to life, but conditioned it on receiving at least 10 million likes for the video he uploaded to his ticketing account.

When the video reached the coveted amount of likes, Mr. Beast (whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson) decided that "The Squid Game - The Reality Version" was going to be his next big project.

To date, YouTuber has invested about $ 2 million in the creation of six games from the series. As can be seen from a recent video documenting the ambitious project, it is a fairly accurate imitation of what is seen on screen, in terms of size and aesthetics. Donaldson wanted to recruit 456 competitors to play in the challenges he set up, just like the number of participants in the series, who will compete in the games "red light, green light", "game of marbles", "pulling rope", "glass challenge", "honeycomb game" and of course the last challenge - "The Squid Game" itself.

Despite the original initiative, many on the network criticized Donaldson, accusing him of not understanding the message of the show, in which many flocked to play the "squid game" just because they got into debt while living a life of poverty.

"Mr. Beast's desire to create in reality the 'Squid Game' is one of the most self-conscious things I have ever encountered," read a Twitter account of those who did not find the magic in the idea.

"The fact that Mr. Beast is trying to create the 'Squid Game' is so weird," tweeted another commenter.

"How did you miss the plot so hard?".

It should be noted that contrary to what is happening in the series, Mr. Beast does not intend to cause the deaths of his participants.

Anyone who fails in the mission will be asked, instead, to leave the game.

He said he would award participants up to $ 1.5 million in prizes.
