Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said today that there are many difficulties in the relations between the United States and Russia, but negotiations are continuing between them and there are positive developments and indications during them.
And the Russia Today website quoted Zakharova as saying: “We still have the issue of visas for Russian diplomats, a problem raised by our American partners, in addition to many other issues that are still unresolved, but negotiations are underway on the issue of strategic stability.”
Zakharova pointed to the Russian-American draft resolution against the use of information and communication technologies for criminal purposes, which was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly, explaining that no one believed that Moscow and Washington would jointly present to the international community such a document, while Washington continued to accuse the Russian side of carrying out cyber attacks and the deliberate use of hackers.
The Russian-American relations have deteriorated in recent years due to the difference in their attitudes towards resolving international issues, in addition to the US's policy of hegemony and interference in the affairs of other countries and the failure to abide by international law, which Russia strongly opposes.
