There was a lot of news to cover this week, and "Saturday Night Live" had its judge Jeanine take care of everything.

The Fox News personality, played by Cecily Strong, opened the episode of the NBC variety show on Saturday night.

"Good evening, I am Judge Jeanine Pirro, and if anyone looking is wearing a hearing aid, I am sorry, they are already dead," he said.

Pirro's performance began with this week's main story: Kyle Rittenhouse was acquitted after shooting and killing two people and wounding a third during protests in Kenosha, Wisconsin, last summer.

"That lovable rascal was put to a nightmare test just for doing the bravest thing any American can do: protecting an empty used car lot in town from someone else," said Strong's Pirro.

He then brought out Judge Bruce Schroeder, who was played by Mikey Day.

The judge called Rittenhouse his "client."

"You mean the defendant?"

Strong's Pyrrhus asked.

"Oh yeah right," he replied.

"I keep doing that."

He later brought in a white legal analyst from NPR, who was played by Chloe Fineman, and a black law professor, who was played by Chris Redd.

Fineman's NPR reporter said she was "shocked" by the verdict.

"Were you? Because you weren't," Redd's black law professor said.

Fineman's character said he had never seen anything like it before.

"I have, many, many times," replied the Redd professor.

Strong's Pirro then passed on to her special guest: former President Donald Trump, who was played by James Austin Johnson.

Johnson's Trump was there to talk about President Joe Biden's infrastructure bill, but instead raged about retreads, including "iCarly," Female Ghostbusters and "Gossip Girl."

"Why did they re-do 'Gossip Girl'?" Trump's Johnson asked randomly.

He then continued with another spiel, but this time there was an on-screen word search that included Chris Christie, Dua Lipa, and Bob the Builder.

Strong's Pyrrhus then yelled, "That's bingo, baby!"

since all thoughts of Trump were connected.

Then he used the show's signature catchphrase: "Live from New York! It's Saturday night!"
