11 years after the flotilla to Gaza - the ship that was at the center of the biggest tension between Ankara and Jerusalem ever up for auction • Authorities in Turkey: It was attacked by pirates and is now standing in the port of Mogadishu

Turkey has decided to put up for sale "Anatolian", the current name of the "Maui Marmara" ship that ignited the worst clash between Ankara and Jerusalem ever.

This is reported by CNN in Turkey (CNN TÜRK).

According to the announcement of the Turkish authorities, who own the ship, it is 93 meters long, 15.8 meters wide - and it is being offered for auction for a starting price of 3 million and 888,000 Turkish pounds (about 345 thousand dollars).

If you were wondering what happened to Maui Marmara since the flotilla to Gaza in 2010, which ended with a transport to the port of Ashdod - then it turns out quite a bit.

It came to the attention of the Turkish authorities following a pledge and foreclosure.

Currently, Maui Marmara - or by its current name Antolian - is in the port of Somalia's capital, Mogadishu, and its insurance cost stands at $ 2 million.

According to Ankara, navigation, communications and safety equipment are active, although the ship was attacked by pirates.

"The attack ended with the arrival of several military boats," Turkish authorities said.

"The incident involved the firing of missiles and shells - and as a result there are marks on the ship."

Those who want to purchase the ship will also have to bear the significant costs of bringing it from Mogadishu - $ 320,200.

The first tender for the purchase of the Anatolian ship will be held in the court of the Anatolia region in the coming days.
