Check-in with your mobile phone: Visiting the town hall in Geretsried is even more convenient

Geretsried - At the beginning of September the city of Geretsried introduced a digital appointment management system in the Geretsried town hall.

Another update has now been added.

"If an appointment has been booked in advance, an additionally activated function now also allows you to check-in with your own mobile phone," reports City Hall spokesman Thomas Loibl.

Until now, it was only possible to log in via the terminal in the reception area.

Now it is even more convenient to “signal your arrival at the town hall”.

Any delays at the terminal can thus be avoided entirely.

According to Loibl, the registration process on the mobile phone is simple and clear.

When visitors receive an appointment confirmation via SMS or email, this message also contains a link.

As soon as visitors click on this, they automatically announce their appearance in the town hall.

No paper ticket is required

“There is no need to print out a paper ticket on site,” the town hall spokesman continues.

Registered people also receive the current status of their appointment via the mobile phone.

The appointment is still shown on the information screen in the waiting area.

"Saving a cell phone number is more useful than an e-mail address, as the SMS generated in this way for confirmation and reminder can be perceived more up-to-date," adds Thomas Habermann, Head of Information Technology in the town hall.

The appointment management system is currently only available for important areas of the city's citizen service.

"A gradual adjustment and expansion for all citizen-relevant areas is planned for the future," reports Loibl.

In areas that have not yet been recorded, you can still register by e-mail or telephone.
