The management group disaster control addressed the population of the Freising district with a dramatic appeal.

The situation is dire.

District - Everything will be ramped up, but the fourth wave will not be able to be broken without the help of the population.

This is emphasized by the disaster control management group in the Freising district, which has sent a dramatic situation report - with a fiery appeal:

“The longer a disaster lasts, the less impress people are reminders.

'The situation is dramatic' or 'Bad things are about to happen' no longer work.

Nevertheless, the situation is dramatic.

This was already shown in the case a few days ago when the fire brigade had to bring a corona patient with blue light from the Freising district to South Tyrol because there was no longer any intensive care bed in the entire region.

(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

The district is preparing for even worse disaster scenarios.

'We have to act boldly,' says District Administrator Helmut Petz with a current incidence value of almost 500 in the district.

Once again, the disaster control management group and its specialist advisors from medicine, rescue services, police, the armed forces, fire services, nursing care, schools and the THW are on duty in order to protect the population as well as possible.

Everything starts up

How can supportive disaster management be set up for the hospital? The shortage of staff is an overwhelming problem. There is talk of facilities in which patients are simply put on cards in red, yellow, and green before they are transported on. It's not that far in the district yet. Planning is in full swing as to how sufficient patient care can be organized despite the lack of specialists.

Everything starts up.

The months of weak vaccination demand are just exploding.

Recommendations for the booster vaccination are constantly changing, now there is a third vaccination for everyone over the age of 18.

The Freising vaccination center will therefore vaccinate again six days a week, and the branch in Au will be reactivated.

Appointments are booked out for weeks, and there is also the fact that around 30 percent of those vaccinated at the vaccination center flock to Freising from other districts, as vaccination centers elsewhere have already been closed or vaccinated according to priorities.

Contact tracing team hopes for help from the Bundeswehr

The Contact Tracing Team (CTT) is currently lagging behind in tracing contacts with around 1,000 people.

The incidence value shoots through the roof with a multiple of the previous peak values from the previous waves.

The staff of the CTT had so far been adequate to the needs, then suddenly there was a shortage here too, by then the support troops of the Bundeswehr had long since withdrawn.

It takes a correspondingly long time for people who are potentially infected to be informed.

The CTT has now been increased to 40 by job advertisements and employees of the district office, who have to leave their actual tasks behind.

The police are back on the team, and the Bundeswehr will be back - hopefully.

The population has to help

What can the population do to ensure that the dramatic situation does not turn into a drama?

Quite a lot: stick to AHA + L, even if nobody can hear it anymore;

Reduce contacts, even if hardly anyone is happy;

You can of course be vaccinated and boosted - and be patient when registering if you book an appointment at https://impfzentren.bayern/citizen or call the call center of the Freising vaccination center (Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., phone 0 81 61 / 600-8 26 92) does not work immediately, inform yourself on the vaccination website of the district www.ein-stich.de.

In addition: test yourself for what it takes, regardless of whether you have been vaccinated or unvaccinated.

Rapid antigen tests are now once again available to everyone free of charge and on a daily basis.

Incredible: some relatives of home seniors refuse to take tests

The latter is also recommended especially for old people's and nursing homes: Corona tests for everyone who lives there or who goes in and out.

However, some visitors refuse to take the test.

Instead, some relatives wait outside the home, it is reported, to pick up someone who is actually particularly vulnerable for a few hours and thus expose them to the known risk.

Corona cases are already increasing again among residents.

Four old people's homes are currently affected, and there are already a few deaths in a row.

G is for common sense: Even if the constantly changing regulations and recommendations are draining everyone's nerves, it is needed now more than ever. "
