The short feature film entitled Drops, written and directed by Ayham Arsan, won first place in the official competition of the Mizdah Film Festival for Short Films in Libya, which announced the results of its fourth session.
The film produced by the General Film Organization in 2020, is the second film by Arsan to receive an award at the Mizdah Festival after the film Kabsa Zer, which won the Special Jury Prize in the second session of the festival in 2017.
And about the award, Arsan said in a statement to SANA.
"The fourth session of the festival witnessed the participation of 130 films from Arab countries, Asia, Europe and America, and this award comes as a culmination of the efforts of all those who participated in the completion of the film, including artists and technicians."
Arsan affirmed his quest to present more films that are able to attend Arab and international festivals to win prizes for Syrian cinema.
The film stars Shukran Murtaja, Robin Issa, the able artist Bassam Lotfi, Jalal Shamout, and the two children Marmar Arsan and Hassan Al-Kurdi.
The film's card includes director of photography Raed Sundid, decorator Hani Jabbour, production director Wael Jbara, and music composition Khaled Rizk.
