Distributors have hammered it out enough to their customers: if they want to have a choice in this Christmas shopping season, they must do their shopping in advance.
The turmoil in global logistics and the supply difficulties they cause are disrupting the well-oiled mechanics of end-of-year purchases.
They are, however, crucial for distributors.
In toys, in particular, more than 50% of the turnover of the year is played in November and December.
To the satisfaction of the merchants, the customers seem to follow the advice they have given them.
Toy purchases have already started, earlier than in previous years.
