Geretsried - For around 40 children from the Franz-Marc-Schule Geretsried, a trip to the highland settlement was on the program in the week before the autumn break.
It was on foot to the site at the Rothmühle.
“There was a feeling of adventure in the air,” reports Christine Herrmann, student councilor in the special school service, enthusiastically.
It was a very special day for the boys and girls who have special educational needs in the areas of learning, language and emotional-social development.
They describe the excursion as "pure experience".
A lot was offered - and everything was experienced together.
Games in the forest, a hike with donkeys, a visit to the observatory and a large campfire at the end "made the children's eyes shine," says Herrmann happily.
So it was for the group with great memories and strengthened spiritually for the coming months, back to school.
The association Jugendsiedlung Hochland Königsdorf was founded in 1950 by young men with the aim of “helping children and young people in the needs of their time”.
The corona pandemic offers a lot of points of contact.
The educationally valuable excursion was made possible by the financial help of the Natureheart Foundation, which has already contributed to the realization of a playground at the Franz Marc School.
