Continuity to increase:

The General Staff exercise "Magen Ha'aretz", which aims to improve the readiness of IDF forces for multi-scene confrontation, began today (Sunday) and will end on Wednesday afternoon.

The exercise was pre-planned as part of the 2021 training program.

The exercise involves the headquarters of the Central Command, the Southern Command and the Home Front Command, the General Staff wings, the land, air and sea branches, and will be attended by thousands of reservists.

Throughout the exercise, the Operations Division will lead the operational planning processes and will include a snapshot of the entire war scene to the Chief of Staff.

The goals of the exercise are to improve the readiness of IDF forces for multi-scene confrontation, to practice the operational plan of the Southern Command for Gaza based on conclusions from the learning and streamlining processes carried out after Operation Wall Guard, focusing on fire plans and maneuvering.

At the same time, the forces will practice dealing with a number of scenarios in the Central Command arena, as well as with internal security incidents.

Meanwhile, Lt. Col. Shachar Shoshana, head of the North American branch of the IDF's Foreign Relations Division, confirmed to Israel Today that the military cooperation and exercises between Israel, the United States and the Gulf states are part of the parties' preparations for a military confrontation with Iran.
