"There is a real war going on in the open areas of Judea and Samaria," MK Shikli said ahead of tomorrow's debate.

"On the one hand, a Palestinian Authority is rife with huge budgets from European countries that are determined to establish facts on the ground, while utterly beeping about the Oslo Accords and wild construction in Area C, fatal damage to unique heritage sites, breakthroughs and the establishment of quarries almost unhindered.

"On the other hand, the State of Israel, which has not been able to stretch its waist and face the challenge. In the middle is a body that sometimes seems to be from the UN, a body that knows how to take a hard line against violations by Jewish settlers in Judea and Samaria, and chooses to ignore Palestinian construction. A body that has loose government oversight with officials who have held influential positions for decades, and a disturbing phenomenon of revolving doors between senior management positions and senior positions in business companies that are interested, for example, in Judea and Samaria quarries.

Gilad Aach, director general of the organization "Until Here", who is one of the organizers of the conference: The purpose of the event is to formulate, with the assistance of elected officials, a systemic solution to the specified phenomena and to examine the exclusive and non-transparent control of the Civil Administration over everything that happens in Judea and Samaria against the will of officials within the system.
