Project L (Riot Games)

About a few years ago the Riot Games company that developed the popular game League of Legends announced that it was working hard on a number of new competitive titles, one of which was eventually revealed as the team shooting game Valorant, and the other is a mysterious project named Project L.

Project L was unveiled during The annual beating tournament EVO 2019, so there is no room for doubt, and it seems that the other competitive game that Riot is developing is a beating game.

Not many details have been revealed since then and Riot has maintained a wireless silence on the subject, until last night when the company unveiled a detailed gameplay video emphasizing the competitive elements of the new title.

Although the official name of the game or its launch date has not yet been announced, the trailer and the developers' explanations provide us with quite a bit of information for Project L: The game will take place in the universe of League of Legends and the Arance TV series -Moba popular like Jinx, Ekko, Darius or Ahri.

The game will be inspired by beating games like Marvel vs Capcom or Dragon Ball Fighterz in the TagTeam style - where players choose a main character and a character to help them during battles, which will add another dimension to the battle system in the game.

The video emphasizes the game's network code, and states that the infrastructure was built from scratch and players can expect a seamless gaming experience without glitches when they play online against opponents in the network.

Riot are interested in developing a balanced beating game where players can play from the moment they pick up the sign, but will still need to practice in order to specialize in the subtleties of the battle system.

One of the elements that was important for the developers at Riot to preserve is the abilities of the various characters from a game like LOL, and translate them properly into a battle system of one-on-one fighting games.

The game is being developed at Riot in partnership with brothers

, so Project L can be expected to be a highly competitive game that may attract the beating community that has lost the tournament in the last two years due to the corona outbreak around the world.
