The body of a man in his thirties was discovered on Saturday evening on the seat of a charred car in Florange (Moselle), the Thionville prosecutor's office announced on Sunday.
An investigation has been opened to find the causes of death, he told AFP.
"
Samples were taken, in search of accelerating products
", favoring the fire, still according to the prosecution which does
not
rule out "
any leads
" and provides "
an autopsy in the week
".
The deceased "
would be the owner of the car, a Florange resident in his thirties
", according to the mayor of Florange, Rémy Dick, who specifies that "
the body was on the seat of the car
".
"
This person was not known to the police and would not have any connection with any trafficking
", added the mayor, questioned by AFP.
According to him, "
nothing suggests that it would be a settling of scores
".
