Everyone who knew him reacted in disbelief to the news: "The fog Michi has died." Since 2020 the 59-year-old has been captain of the Tölz rifle company.
Bad Tölz
- cheerful and in a good mood as he always was, he had joked at every meeting in the past few weeks.
But then the 59-year-old suffered from a bruise, which became infected and developed into an infection.
After painful days in the hospital, Michael Nebel was already on the mend.
On the night of Friday, however, a pulmonary embolism led to the completely unexpected death.
Michael Nebel, who initially trained with the police, soon switched to the field service as a representative of leading companies in the sporting goods industry.
“He really blossomed there, he really enjoyed doing that,” remembers his divorced wife Helga, with whom he was still on friendly terms.
The position of ensign made him proud
In addition to his job, Michael Nebel loved working for the Tölzer Schützenkompanie.
He had been their member since 2000 and did not miss a chance to move out.
In 2005 he was elected ensign, an office he was very proud of.
He carried the Tölz rifle flag with great joy.
A special day was therefore the consecration of the new flag in August 2017, when he was allowed to take over the jewel on Marktstrasse in Kaiserwetter.

And then in 2020 another highlight followed in Michael Nebel's shooting life: He was elected to succeed Helmut Ginhart as shooting captain.
Due to the pandemic, there has not been a single release date since then.
The new captain had been waiting eagerly to lead his company - side by side with his daughter as a sutler.
Michael Nebel leaves behind his daughter Kathrin, his mother and his partner Stephanie.
