Murder in Jadeida-Makr: 55-year-old woman stabbed to death | Israel today

Aisha Abadi, 55, was found unconscious this evening (Sunday) at her home in the northern village of Jadeida-Makr, but after many resuscitation operations in an attempt to save her life, MDA medics and paramedics were forced to determine her death. Upon learning of the case, Western Galilee police arrived at the Arab village and detained the woman's husband, a 57-year-old resident, on suspicion of involvement in the act.

A district spokeswoman said in a statement that "depending on the progress of the investigation, the police will decide whether to ask for an extension of the suspect's detention tomorrow".

Following the murder, the "Abraham Initiatives" organization updated that since the beginning of the year, 111 Arabs have been murdered in Israel in circumstances related to violence and crime, of which 93 are civilians and 18 are non-citizens.

53 of the murdered were aged 30 and under, 14 of the murdered were women, and in 91 of the cases the murder was carried out by firearms.

Also, eight people were killed in circumstances related to police activity.
