The verdict details show that the counter, who served as the head of an armament team at one of the Air Force bases, opened a private Instagram page designed for the purpose of tracking down servants in his unit. Between September 2019 and February 2020, the page gained many followers. According to the indictment, male and female soldiers sent messages against them that included sexual stories and sexual fantasies concerning their base members, and he posted them on the page. Not only that, but the counter also posted nude photos he downloaded from the network, in a way that might be disguised as nude photos of the servants at the base, while blackening the intimate organs, as well as surveys of a sexual nature. Among other things, in February 2020, the counter published a fantasy sent to him by a soldier: "My fantasy is to sleep with (a female soldier's first name) that Twerk does."
The military tribunal convicted the defendant of misconduct and ruled that the defendant "created a disturbing atmosphere in the military service, both for those whose details appeared in the same publications, for those who followed the page and for all servicemen in the unit, who could instantly find their descriptions." " The tribunal further ruled that "the content of the publications ... was blatant, offensive, humiliating and disgraceful," and sentenced him to demotion to the rank of private and a month and a half of military service. The IDF spokesman said: "The counter was convicted based on his confession by opening a private page on Instagram, where he posted blatant content regarding male and female soldiers from his unit.
The military tribunal adopted the military prosecution petition and imposed on the defendant a sentence of 45 days imprisonment by way of military work, probation, compensation for the victims of the offense and demotion to the rank of private.
The counter appealed the decision to demote him to the rank of private.
The appeal was heard on November 17, 2021. The judgment will be given at a separate date.
