Tiger Woods posted a short video showing him hitting golf balls at a driving range on Sunday, nine months after sustaining serious leg injuries that required surgery following a car crash in the southern California.
"Making progress," Woods wrote in the caption of his Twitter post, which marked the first time he had been seen swinging a club since the February crash.
The video reinforces hope that the 45-year-old American can return to competitive golf after the crash cast doubt on his ability to return.
In the past, he had already experienced several periods of absence following injuries, including back operations on five occasions.
“We love to see it!
The official U.S. Ryder Cup Team Twitter account said in response to the video.
“Continue @TigerWoods, we encourage you all.
