The Tizio continues to provide a topic of conversation.
After mayors and the Wolfratshausen city council, business associations are now criticizing the location decision
Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen - Long before the transfer and innovation center of the Technical University of Munich opened in the district, TIZIO provided fuel.
After the mayors of Wolfratshausen and Geretsried had declared their displeasure with the decision that the district town of Bad Tölz should be the location of the university branch a few days ago, the industrial community Geretsried (IGG) now speaks out.
TIZIO in Tölz: Geretsrieder Industrie also criticizes the decision - "heard with the greatest regret"
"It was with great regret that we heard that the decision for the location (...) was not made for the medium-sized center Wolfratshausen / Geretsried," says a letter from the three board members, Andreas Janka, Dr.
Max Suter and Paul Reichhold.
The IGG - together with some of the more than 50 member companies from Geretsried - have repeatedly expressed their interest in TIZIO in the northern district, without success.
According to Suter, Site Manager of Pulcra Chemicals, there was never any response: "We would have liked more transparency and a better hearing," he clarifies.
Criticism of Geretsrieder on the location decision for Bad Tölz - and a lack of transparency
The IGG board took the decision in favor of the spa town from a press release.
"We are not the decision-makers, we know that, but if we were to get involved, we could at least have been informed about the current status of the award," says Suter.
He makes no secret of the fact that he would have wished for the university location in Geretsried: “We are the Geretsried industrial community.
This is where our members sit.
Of course we would have liked that here. "
University in the district: Wolfratshausen was also interested - and is frustrated
The board of directors of the entrepreneurs' association for the Wolfratshausen Economic Area (UWW), Christian von Stülpnagel, does not want to comment in detail on the location issue. “I wasn't involved in the process and I don't know enough about the project to have a real opinion,” he admits. But one thing is clear: "The motorway connection and the S-Bahn station are factors that speak for Wolfratshausen." “I don't know the premises that spoke in favor of Bad Tölz.” It goes without saying that a university offshoot would look good on the city of Wolfratshausen. “Of course I would have liked to see the facility in Wolfratshausen.” That is also the case with some city councilors. In the most recent meeting, criticism of the district administrator flared up again. dst
